Weather Spotter Network

Here are your duties as a Weather Spotter:

                 *Call 1-866-599-2358 on your designated day each week between 5:00am and 9:00am to report
            your current tempurature and precipitation amounts (rain/snowfall), if any, in the previous 24
            hours. Otter Tail Power Company and Lakes Radio provide the rain gauge, outdoor
            thermometer and yard stick as equipment to accurately report morning temperatures and precipitation.

           * If severe weather is approaching or is in your area, we ask that you call Lakes Radio at
            1-877-725-2537 to report conditions live during Lakes Radio's storm coverage, or we will take down
             your report and include it in our comprehensive storm broadcast.

Weather Spotters are currently needed in the following areas:

Vergas - Ottertail - Henning

Erhard - Ashby - Parkers Prairie

Wadena - Perham - New York Mills

Elbow Lake - Rothsay - Battle Lake

Clitherall - Wendell - Dent

Vining - Elizabeth - Richville

Dalton - Deer Creek - Detroit Lakes
